Fractals! They are a type of shape that looks the same at different levels of magnification. Fractals are the result of applying repetitive procedures to some initial conditions. This repetitive procedure is known as an algorithm in mathematics. These algorithms give a list of complex numbers that can be then plotted and colored entirely by a computer to produce stunning and almost psychedelic images.
